After many years in the music industry, I decided to go back to school and finish the communications degree I started so many years before. I earned my degree in spite of my advanced age and along the way discovered I had a passion for writing. One of my assignments turned into “Letters From Mamie”. A combination of family stories, Genealogy research, and  historical research, Letters from Mamie follows the path of the 12 year old son of Irish immigrants  from Springfield Massachusetts in the 1880’s, crossing the north American continent, growing up in the logging camps of Minnesota, to marring and building a life in the Great Pacific Northwest.
